Welcome to the 10 week Inclusive Leadership program!

Your next step to becoming a more inclusive leader of your diverse team!

This is waiting for you:

1. Opening Session

We will use this opening session for introductions, reconfirmation of objectives, housekeeping, and the basics of Inclusive Leadership and this 10 week program. It's the start of building this community. I look forward to seeing each and every one of you there! (Please allow 90 minutes)

2. Working across cultures

Challenges & opportunities: How do our values shape the way we work and lead? How do we identify our own values and those of our team members? Do we have the same understanding?

3. Cultural tools & theories

How do we get our values to live in our teams? How can we reflect our values in our behaviour and actions? Create the first part of your personal toolbox.

4. + 5. Communicating with clarity & sensitivity

How do we deal with unconscious breaches of values? How do we set clear expectations and goals? Fill your toolbox with tips and tricks to help you deal confidently with the challenges of your daily conversations.

6. + 7. Cultural Intelligence

Psychological safety, cognitive diversity, motivational drive - more than just buzzwords. These are the key elements in building a successful team that works together in trust.

8. + 9. Inclusive Intelligence

Self-awareness, empathy, engagement, commitment & accountability, cultural wisdom: How do we ensure we have a shared understanding of what drives inclusiveness and success in our team?

10. Final Session

Bringing it all together. What is in your personal toolbox? What are your next steps and what do you need to drive the change towards greater inclusiveness in your team? (Please allow 90  minutes)

  • We will meet on May 14, 21, 28 and on June 4, 11, 18, 25 and on July 2, 9, 16.

  • We have prepared some materials for you to work on between the sessions. Some will be online questionnaires, some printable worksheets.
  • All material will be sent to you via email and is available for download in the members' area on the Inclusive Leadership Alliance website.

Buddy system

You are not alone

  • To give you someone to use as a sounding board for your ideas, we will set you up with a buddy.
  • We will try to match you with someone in your time zone who has a similar role to yours.
  • If it does not feel like the right match, you can change your buddy.

Learn how to identify your and your team members' values and how to honour them with your daily actions and behaviours.

Inclusion

You will define the first steps you need to take to become more inclusive. How can you adapt your leadership style to the diversity of your team?

Clarity & Sensitivity: I will show you how to use communication to build trust, foster belonging and drive collaboration. 

Trust

Authenticity, empathy, logic: How do you build trust across differences, reduce frustration and lift your team members up.

Can I answer some of your questions?

  • Excellent! You are getting yourself ready for the next step and you know that there are still things you can learn and improve about your leadership skills. You are in the right place here as you will not only benefit from the shared experience of the other participants, but set your strategy right from the start with the knowledge and tools I share.
  • I am sure that no participant will be able to be present at every single session. That's why we record them and make them available the next day. All sessions will be available in the membership area of the Inclusive Leadership Alliance website. You will get your access data once your singed up.
  • We will match you with another participant so you can support each other in this process. Should there be any problems or you would like to switch your buddy we will do our best to make this happen.
